$600,000 for Child’s Broken Leg
A 6 year old child was crossing the street with his uncle and little brother to a local convenience store. A truck struck the child as the child was leaving the roadway. It was dusk and the driver claimed he could not see the group of three people crossing the street. The uncle and children were wearing light colored clothing. The child suffered a closed fracture of his femur requiring surgery but ultimately made a complete recovery. His medical bills were close to $50,000.
